Coolio was one of the biggest Amercian hip hop artists/rappers in the Nineties. Known best for his 1995 chart-topper Gangsta’s Paradise (video below), Coolio, aka Artis Leon Ivey Jr, has sold over 30 million records globally. He's a been to the UAE before, playing at Barasti in March 20122, and must have loved it as he's coming back for an even bigger performance at swanky club Armani/Privé!
Coolio has won multiple awards including Best Rap Solo Performance at the Grammy Awards, Best Rap Video and Best Video From A Film at the MTV Music Awards, Favourite Rap/Hip Hop Artist at the American Music Awards, plus three nominations at the Grammys for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Solo Performance and Best R'n'B Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group.
