One minute rundown: Li-lo, as she's affectionately named these days, didn't even start acting until the age of ten, which is actually ancient in Hollywood. Before that she worked as a child fashion model in magazines and TV commercials. The world soon got used to her face. Disney snapped her up at age 11, after a year's hard labour on a soap opera, and made her the "twin" star in their fancy remake of "The Parent Trap". After that, she went from ginger to brunette to blonde in the films "Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen", "Freaky Friday", "Mean Girls" and "Herbie - Fully Loaded", securing her place as the hottest Hollywood kid on the block, with an attitude to boot. She's also recorded two pop albums and a third is apparently in production. (We can't wait).

Skidding off the rails, Lohan gained a reputation on the party circuit for her drunken shenanigans with the likes of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. Her three car accidents in 2005 were all over the news. Most recently the struggling star has spent time in rehab - in January 2007 she checked into the Wonderland in West Hollywood and in May she was admitted to Promises in Malibu, where she stayed for 45 days before leaving, crashing her car and getting busted two days later for possession of cocaine. Luckily her attorney had 25,000 USD at hand to bail her out, but we doubt this is the last we'll hear of Li-lo's troubles.

True facts: In 2005 Lohan was the first lucky lady (in real life) to have a Mattel "My Scene Goes Hollywood" doll of herself on the shelves. We're pretty sure girls all over the world are now crashing them into lampposts and slicing inches off their plastic thighs with their nail-files.
