One minute rundown: Everyone's favourite twiglet, the Vick-stick voiced her desires for world domination at an early age, after watching the musical Fame. Adoring parental units - Jacqueline and Anthony Adams, (who ran a rather successful electrical warehouse business) signed her up to the Jason Theatre School in Enfield, from which, in spite of being plagued by acne and a severe lack of friends, a 17 year old Posh-in-training went on to study dancing and modeling at Laine Arts Theatre College in Epsom, Surrey.

Victoria answered an ad for "energetic girls" in The Stage newspaper, which led her into the hands of music moguls Chris and Bob Herbert, plus of course, Melanie "Scary" Brown, Emma "Baby" Bunton, Melanie "Sporty" Chisholm, and Geri "Ginger" Halliwell.

After going nowhere for a year and re-signing with Simon Fuller, the Spice Girls' debut album, Spice, sold more than 19 million copies and their first single, "Wannabe" hit the number one spot, sending pre-teens the world over into a "Girl Power" frenzy. Further hits included "Say You'll Be There" and "2 Become 1". Posh married footballer Becks in 1999, in a celebrity wedding to make the world weep, costing $800,000.
