Geri Halliwell

Date of Birth: 6th August 1972

One minute rundown: One fifth of the popular girl band The Spice Girls, ex nude model and flame-haired gob-mistress Geri became known internationally as Ginger Spice, and dressed red-hot for the nation as the band soured to number one status, in every sense of the word. In 1998, Geri quit the band, her greedy ginger head full of solo-single dreams and even more dosh, no doubt.

She didn’t do too badly with Look At Me, the first single, which reached number two in the UK charts. Following number ones included Mi Chico Latino, Lift Me Up and Bag It Up. In 2001, the movie Bridget Jones’s Diary featured her remake of It’s Raining Men, which went onto become the second biggest single that year. Her third album, Passion, didn’t do all that well, but the ginger wannabe was doing OK out of her TV presenting career, and even released two yoga DVDs.

However, after the failure, she sacked off her managers and upped sticks to LA, where she fell pregnant with her daughter Bluebell, whose father is former Bush drummer, Sacha Gervasi. She currently lives in Hampstead, England with baby Bluebell and her dog, and has recently announced a reunion tour and greatest hits album with The Spice Girls.
