One minute rundown: Teri was simply being a good friend when she accompanied her mate to a TV audition, but she probably wasn't too popular when she won the part herself. Having played a singing and dancing mermaid on The Love Boat, she then played Penny Parker on MacGyver for four years, and really got noticed when she starred alongside Kevin Kline and Sally Field in the movie, Soapdish.

After a guest role in Seinfeld, Hatcher won the part that made America truly sit up and pay attention - Lois Lane in The New Adventures Of Superman. Opposite Dean Cain the pair oozed chemistry and a picture of Hatcher wrapped up in his cape was downloaded over 20,000 times. That's hot! Also in 1993, Hatcher wed Equal Justice star, Jon Tenney.

They had a baby girl, Emerson in 1997, just months before Teri became a Bond Girl in Tomorrow Never Dies with Pierce Brosnan. Nine years of marriage ended in sadness in 1999 when Hatcher and Tenney divorced, but life moved on when she was offered a lead in Desperate Housewives.
