Career: Steve is best known for playing Michael Scott in the US version of The Office, based on David Brent from the original UK version. He has also appeared in films including Anchorman, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Little Miss Sunshine and Evan Almighty and has voiced characters in the films Over the Hedge, Horton Hears a Who! and Despicable Me.

Relationships: He is married to actress Nancy Carell and they have two children, Elisabeth Anne, born May 2001, and John, born June 2004.

FYI: In 2006 he received the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Comedy Series for his performance in The Office.
