Mel B (aka Scary Spice)

Career: Mel B shot to fame in 1996 as a member of the Spice Girls. Their debut single, Wannabe, was a number one hit in more than 30 countries and the band became a global phenomenon. After three albums, the girls split up but reformed in 2007 for a reunion tour. Mel has sold over half a million records as a solo artist and has appeared onstage in the musical Rent and in the Vagina Monologues. She came second place in Dancing with the Stars in 2007, presented TV show This is My Moment and starred in her own reality show, Mel B: It’s a Scary World.

Relationships: On 13th September 1998 she married dancer Jimmy Gulzar and changed her name to Melanie G. Their daughter, Phoenix Chi, was born on 19th February 1999. They divorced in 2000. Mel was then linked to actor Max Beesley and Eddie Murphy, who is the father of her daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown, born 3rd April 2007. She started dating her friend, movie producer Stephen Belafonte, in February 2007 and they married on 6th June 2007. They are expecting their first child together in summer 2011.
