Marc Jacobs

Career: Marc is the head designer at Marc Jacobs and the diffusion line Marc by Marc Jacobs. He is also creative director of Louis Vuitton. He first found fame when he designed a grunge collection for US label Perry Ellis and was fired as a result. He designed his first collection under his own label in 1986 and his designs have become increasingly popular. He now has a string of boutiques all around the world.

Relationships: Marc, who is openly gay, started dating advertising executive Lorenzo Martone in 2008. They were rumoured to have married in July 2009, but in July 2010 Lorenzo announced via Twitter that they had not been a couple for two months.
