Profile

Career: Alexander began his acting career in his native Sweden. He acted in several Swedish TV miniseries and, in 2005, he made a move into Hollywood with his role in war adventure film The Last Drop. He raised his profile playing one of the main characters in US miniseries Generation Kill, and is best known for playing Erik Northman, the 1,000 year-old Viking vampire in True Blood.

Relationships: Alexander has been linked to his True Blood co-star Evan Rachel Wood and actresses Kate Bosworth and Amanda Seyfried.

FYI: At the age of 19 Alexander enlisted in the military and completed his National Service in the Swedish Coastal Artillery.
