For celeb-spotters, seeing all eight members of the Jolie-Pitt clan in one place at one time is the equivalent of ornithologists seeing the top 10 rarest bird species perched on a phone wire together. But that was the scene that presented itself to frenzied paps after the world’s most famous family arrived in LA last week.

Forever on the move, this A-list gypsy horde was US-bound after a stint in Australia, where Angelina was directing the film Unbroken, about the life of Louis Zamperini, the Olympic runner who was taken prisoner by the Japanese during World War II. Dad Brad, meanwhile, had been jet-setting between their Aussie abode and the UK, where he’s been filming his own WWII flick, Fury – but despite their hectic schedules the couple still found plenty of time for fun with their kids.

Family frolics
The family who play together stay together – and the Jolie-Pitts have had no end of play dates recently. From trips to the movies to bowling and ice skating, while in Australia this A-list family have shown that they’re not just coping with six kids – they’re flourishing!

The couple, who have a net worth of $300 million (Dhs1.1bn), have been dogged by rumours that they let their children follow a ruinous diet and run wild wherever they go, but this doesn’t seem to be the case.

An alleged insider once claimed: “The kids eat fast food every day. Angelina does not insist the kids brush [their teeth] or wash hands before meals. They bathe whenever they want, which is not often, and Brad’s friends say that his kids smell like Johnny Depp.”

Though Angelina, 38, has admitted that eating junk food is a “family weakness”, what parent hasn’t succumbed to a quick dinner in place of a healthy meal on occasion? And reports on their family dates Down Under reveal the kids were well behaved and there wasn’t even the vaguest whiff of eau de Depp around.

Brad’s Other Woman
It was claimed on ShowBizSpy.com that the power couple had “come to blows over Brad’s crush on Hollywood’s newest ‘It girl’, Lupita Nyong’o”. Kenyan Lupita, 31, has been nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role as Patsey in the Pitt-produced drama 12 Years a Slave. Rumours circulated that Brad, 50, intends to make her his next leading lady as he gushed about the actress at the Producers Guild Awards in January, saying: “She’s very special young lady. We’re going to see great things from her.”

A source then told the National Enquirer: “Angelina read him the riot act when he arrived. She told him that he didn’t need to make his ‘crush’ on Lupita so obvious to the entire world.” But footage from Australia shows the pair seem closer than ever, even managing to make time for themselves while rearing their six-pack.

The couple enjoy shared interests (their new Miraval vino from their 1,200-acre estate in France has received rave reviews), and they love to hang out. They were spotted enjoying some couple time on the balcony of their deluxe abode at Pepper Airlie beach the day after they were pictured giggling and holding hands while heading to the Shipwrecked Seafood Bar & Grill for Unbroken’s wrap party. Brad looked as hot as ever in a casual open shirt with khaki pants tucked into his Palladium boots, and Ange had clearly made an effort in a black ensemble with sky-high Saint Laurent stilettos.

“They looked very much in love throughout the night and were very happy and relaxed,” said restaurant owner Adele Blakemore. “They were together all night – I don’t think she left his side at all except to go to the bathroom!”

Their next hot date will be at the Oscars on 2 March, so set your TVs to record it and check out the chemistry for yourselves!
