Stylistas will love this French dining experience which wouldn’t be out of place on NY vibrant culinary scene. Co-owned by Aymeric Clemente and Remi Laba who hail from France, the idea was to deliver a unique concept (and we’ll say they’ve definitely succeeded), where guests can experience the fresh, clean flavours of their classic native fare, served up with a side of Stateside glamour.
Be transported to Paris upon arrival. The décor and architecture is reminiscent of an old Parisian apartment, complete with Art Deco mantels, coffered ceilings and delicate lighting. The ambience is given a modern twist thanks to its soundtrack of live music or sultry Latin grooves.
Go all out for the lobster. The luxurious linguini aux homards épicées is a whole, spicy lobster grilled over charcoal in a Josper oven, then served on top of a tangle of linguini, tossed in a delicate sauce made from tomatoes, lobster stock, bottarga and cream.
Whip out your phone for this instagrammable dessert. Back in 2014, the NY outpost showed that it takes its sweets very seriously, by adding the Mauboussin Mega Sundae to its menu which made headlines due to its eye-watering price tag of $1,000 (Dhs3,762)! While their version included premium pink bubbles sorbet, chocolate truffles, gilded edible gold leaf brownies and what not, the Dubai interpretation is a bit less pricey at Dhs275, although just as beautiful. Loaded with ice cream, macarons, cookies, popcorn and a whole host of other goodies, this is big enough or six people to share. It’s an exclusive end to the meal, which is available only when pre-ordered.
