Beyonce is the highest-paid woman in the music industry

Beyonce has been named the highest-paid woman in music after she banked $115 million (Dhs422,000,000) over the past year. The star raked in the majority of her earnings from the success of her The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, plus the surprise release of her self-titled album in December as well as her endorsement deals with beauty giant L'Oreal and drinks firm Pepsi, amongst other high-profile collabos featuring Bey. In 2013, she was ranked at number four but now that she's at the top, leaving Taylor Swift in second place with $64 million (Dhs235 million).

Pink finishes the top three with $52 million (Dhs191 million), whilst Rihanna and Katy Perry follow just behind with $48 million (Dhs176 million) and $40 million (Dhs147 million) respectively.

We are not surprised that Beyonce, the pop sensation, has officially been crowned the most successful artist around. Way to go Bey!
