Anne Hathaway has signed up Valentino Garavani to design her wedding dress.
The 80-year-old fashion legend revealed he "did the dress" for the actress's upcoming nuptials during the New York City Ballet's Fall gala at the David H. Koch Theater in the Lincoln Center last night. The respected design talent couldn't speak more highly about Anne and he explained he has designed a special one-off creation for her to wear for her wedding to fiancé Adam Shulman.
"She's a very good friend of mine," Valentino gushed to E! News. "Oh, yes. She's like my daughter! She's sensational. She's fantastic. She's a girl that... She deserves what she has in this life. [That] means, she's already a great star. But she's going to be a great, great, great, great thousand times great star. She has all the qualities."
During the event Valentino was honoured for his contribution to the costume designs for the ballet. Style icon and bride-to-be Anne was present to see her friend receive the praise. Anne wore a gorgeous floral floor length gown as she posed on the red carpet along with Valentino. The 29-year-old Dark Knight Rises actress wore a pair of simple diamond studs in her ears and carried a gorgeous gold-studded clutch.
Fellow fashionista and Sex and the City actress Sarah Jessica Parker also hit the red carpet at the gala. Sarah honoured the iconic designer by wearing a Valentino Couture dress for the evening. Sarah added Christian Louboutin shoes, Fred Leighton jewellery, and a VBH bag to complete her stunning ensemble.
