American pop star Anastacia has cancelled her world tour including a date in Dubai after her breast cancer returned. The singer was due to perform at the Dubai World Cup on 30 March, but has called off all appearances.
A spokesman for Dubai World Cup, said: "Due to unfortunate circumstances, Anastacia has regrettably been forced to postpone her global tour of US and Europe including her special appearance at Dubai World Cup. Meydan and the organisers of the Dubai World Cup wish Anastacia the best of health and a safe recovery, and we hope to welcome her back to Dubai soon."
Anastasia fought the disease in 2003. Her tour was due to start on April 6 in London. She said, "I feel so awful to be letting down all my amazing fans who were looking forward to It's A Man's World Tour. It just breaks my heart to disappoint them."
Meanwhile, organisers of festival My Music X have confirmed Gangnam Style's PSY isn't coming to Dubai as they'd announced earlier. Despite a press conference announcing the internet sensation as one of the main acts of the new event, a tweet from PSY said that he was not in fact heading for Dubai. Organisers have now confirmed he's no longer in the lineup for the March event, which includes Sean Paul, Akon, and Eve.
