In the past year, I’ve worked with some of the biggest brands in the beauty business, including L’Oréal Paris, Pantene, Max Factor, Glam Glow and Rimmel London, and I’ve delivered my first ever make-up classes in Dubai, attended by over 100 guests, and attracted sponsorships from brands such as Paris Gallery, Olay and Rimmel London. I was also called upon to do a make-up session for the Dubai Shopping Festival in The Dubai Mall.
Success comes from consistently posting videos and pictures on all my social media outlets, and coming up with original and interesting content tailored to my followers.
My main job is marketing new products to my audience and I love it. I’m proud that I was able to leave a nine-to-five job to be able to focus on something I regard as more creative and fulfilling.
I wouldn’t change anything over the past year, except perhaps I would have focused even more effort on my YouTube channel to grow it more than I already have.
I love the flexibility that working in the UAE has given me – you can get an office job or work on your own, the opportunities are limitless.
