RENEE ZELLWEGER has sparked reports of a new romance with an American TV personality - three years after splitting from country singer KENNY CHESNEY.

The 39-year-old actress annulled her four-month long marriage to Chesney in 2005, and insisted in recent interviews she has been too busy with her career to find time for a new relationship.

Renee has now been linked to MSNBC legal correspondent DAN ABRAMS, after they were spotted enjoying a romantic dinner at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor, New York on Saturday, according to the New York Post.

Renee told Marie Claire earlier this month: "The thing is, I'm away all the time. I suppose if I sat still long enough to get to know somebody beyond a dinner date, maybe. But I don't feel like my life is empty or that I have to make something happen. I have projects to develop."
