The ObservatorySet on the 52nd floor of the Harbour Hotel, overlooking the Marina, The Observatory combines exquisite fine dining, a slick, low-lit lounge interior and jaw-dropping views. The emphasis here is firmly on modern classics and lovingly sourced, natural ingredients, which are all given a wonderfully inventive twist by Chef Jordi Servalls Bonilla.
To start, the seared Scottish scallops, glazed with pumpkin and chocolate sauce, are melt-in-the-mouth delicious. And don’t even try to resist a side order of the unfeasibly large prawns – they’re delish!
For mains, the organic chicken with double roasted potatoes and lemon thyme puree is rich and crispy, with a wonderfully moreish gamey flavour.
Among the deserts, the picture perfect mango and strawberry crumble with rum scented cream is an expertly layered delight and so fruity you can order it and still feel virtuous!
With super-friendly, attentive staff, coupled with world-class views and fresh, lovingly prepared, inventive fare that you’ll be talking about for weeks afterwards, an evening at The Observatory adds up to an unforgettable dining experience. A real treat.
