Firmly leaving his Hollywood heartthrob status behind him, the Walk The Line star seems to be channeling a grizzly bear, having developed a fully brown beard, and a long mane of unruly hair.

Just three years ago he was fighting off female admirers, but today he is almost unrecognisable.

He recently announced his retirement from acting to become a full time musician. C'mon Joaquin, that grunge look is so circa 1992!
