She hoped it would be the perfect ending to a happy family Christmas, but when Angelina Jolie reportedly popped the question to Brad Pitt over the holidays, she was instead rejected and ushered into counselling by her worn out partner.

Need to escape
“Brad thinks a wedding right now is biting off more than they can chew,” spilled a source, who revealed that Brad is finding it increasingly difficult to deal with their boisterous brood.

“Brad would prefer to slow down a bit,” another pal revealed. “But he knows what he signed up for when he settled down with Angelina. The hardest part for him is living in constant chaos, in cities all around the world. He still has his moments when he needs to escape.”

Slow down
Rather than agreeing to whisk her down the aisle, Brad has suggested that he and Angelina go to therapy instead to deal with their issues before they even think about marriage.

“He would like to slow down and go through some couples counselling. But Angelina is insisting they get married before they adopt again or have another biological baby.”

Hurt by his rejection, pals say Ange then tried to use the kids to convince Brad that marriage was a good idea. “When Brad insisted they hold off, Angelina put him on a major guilt trip, telling him that the kids really want them to be married,” said an insider.

Worse to come
The upset comes amid reports that Angelina is already planning to start a new adoption process this month – when their twins Knox and Vivienne reach six months old – and that she’s already chosen an Ethiopian girl.

“They’ve already picked out a little girl,” a source told In Touch. “She has had a very tragic life. Her mother has AIDS and her father is unknown. Angelina was touched by her story.”

Can Brad cope?
But as the cracks in Brad’s happy family man persona begin to show, insiders are questioning whether Brad can cope when the seventh child – who could be adopted within a month – arrives into the brood.

Especially given that Brad recently revealed that all is not rosy in the Jolie-Pitt household.

“It wears you out… I’m ageing fast,” he confessed to US talk show host Larry King. Brad also declared on the Today show of his six children, “They’re driving me crazy. They’re fighting and they’re laughing... they’re staying up late and they’re messing with their parents.”

The question now has to be can Brad handle one more?

Will Jen beat Ange down the Aisle?

As her former love rival, Angelina Jolie has her marriage hopes dashed, Jennifer Aniston is making plans to walk down the aisle with her younger boyfriend, John Mayer. And, say pals, she’s already planned her Big Fat Greek Wedding!

“John’s finally agreed to marry her – and they’re now planning a traditional Greek Orthodox wedding,” spilled a pal.

Aisle ultimatum
“Jen made it clear to John that she was not willing to re-establish the relationship on a boyfriend/girlfriend basis, as it has been since they first hooked up last April,” the source continued. “And that’s when she issued John with her ultimatum – that it was time for them to walk down the aisle together.”

Greek wedding
“Jen told him straight out that she wouldn’t put up with any more delays. And since she has always wanted a Greek Orthodox wedding, John said he would happily do anything to make her dream come true,” said the insider..

“Nothing would make Jen happier than to have her own Big Fat Greek Wedding – and John is totally on board.”

The pal continued, “Jen was exposed to the Greek Orthodox religion growing up because that’s her dad’s background. Her first marriage to Brad Pitt, was a huge, extravagant affair, but it was not a church wedding. Jen isn’t overly religious, but she really wants one now.”
