Buzzing with atmosphere, from the city types filling the bar upstairs to the spacious wood, chrome and glass Japanese dining room below – that pulsates with life and thrums to music pumped through the speakers from the DJ above – dining at Zuma is an experience certainly not to be missed.
Three lively open kitchens offer lovingly prepared Japanese staples like sushi and tempura (the veggie California rolls are unbeatable) and fresh meat and fish from the robata grill, with the dishes arriving at the table as and when they’re ready – served up by refreshingly friendly and informative staff.
The rib eye steak with wabu sauce and garlic chips, delivered in bite-size tender chunks is exquisite, while the lemon sole was zingy and delish. But while the food is excellent, what really puts Zuma on the map is the vibe – welcoming enough to lure you into the upstairs bar for a post-meal drink, where you’ll stay well past your bed time!
