When ANGELINA recently described her household as “big, loud and busy,” she wasn’t kidding.

Last month, when the BRANGELINA brigade descended on their temporary new home in Berlin for a three-month stay, they required a 20-strong convoy of cars to transport their six boisterous kids (four of whom were given a toy drum set to bash, despite two sleeping newborns), an army of security guards, and a team of six skilled childcare professionals – who reportedly followed the clan in a battered caravan.

The nannies
As the Brangelina show takes to the road, the parents-of-six have been struggling to cope, despite travelling with an army of help. During a recent trip to New Orleans, they had to call for emergency backup – “They tried to cope with four nannies, but needed to fly in additional help,” spilled a source.

They now reportedly travel with six nannies as standard – that’s one per child – along with a string of security guards and 20 cars to transport them.

“We’ve provided them with more than 20 Volkswagens while they’re here in Berlin,” revealed Mya Walters, a PR for the car firm.

When they go out to dine, the superstar couple book a table for 16 people and recently shut down an entire restaurant in Berlin for the evening so the brood and all the hired help could eat. “The restaurant was closed to the public and silver foil was taped over the windows,” said a spy.

Ange chooses her nannies using the same multicultural ethic she uses to choose her adopted kids. “We have ladies that work with us and they’re also from different cultures and backgrounds. One lady’s a Vietnamese teacher – wonderful. One is of Congolese descent from Belgium. Another is from the States and is really creative and does art programs,” boasts Ange.

Too much freedom?
As a recation to Ange’s controlling father Jon Voight, Brad and Ange operate a “no discipline” policy with the kids.

“Angie’s view now is, you don’t control people, you aren’t tough on them, you let people and especially kids flower and develop themselves,” revealed a close source.

According to insiders, the kids are free to run about, shout, jump on beds, pull stuff down if they want and sleep, wake and eat when they want.

“To me, it’s live and let live. Do what you like as long as you do it to yourself and you don’t push it on me,” says Brad on their liberal attitude.

Maddox is in charge
The eldest, Maddox, seven, has developed a sense of responsibility, says a source and – in the absence of an authoritarian figure has taken on the role of surrogate father in some senses.

“They have school amongst themselves with their own little blackboard and Maddox is teaching everyone French,” said an insider.

Pax’s anger encouraged
Despite his big bro Maddox’s attempts to teach him about respecting property, Pax, four, has developed a penchant for vandalism.

“Pax is wild and has a tremendous amount of energy and Maddox has been teaching him about looking after his things and not throwing them around the room, but Angie encourages him to get all his anger out of him,” revealed a spy. “He came with a lot of anger and needs to vent it Angie feels. So, she doesn’t stop him throwing stuff, breaking things, and working through his feelings,”

Messy household
Despite the legion of home help, Brangelina have banned the staff from cleaning up after the kids.

“Angie is very opposed to nannies and servants making their home pristine and hotel-like and she wants the kids things to pile up and be part of a home rather than have it all in a perfect sterile world,” revealed an inside source. “The kids all like to share clothes and they leave them on chairs, on the floor and that’s fine for Angie and Brad.”

Ange is exhausted
According to a source, Angelina is so adamant she’ll give her kids total freedom, that she’s wound up permanently exhausted as they run riot into the small hours.

“They’re all learning instruments and play and bang about on drums and little guitars and sometimes the din is incredible,” spilled a mole. “But they can pick up and put down their instruments whenever they want to.”

“Sleep is difficult. [Ange’s] exhausted and sometimes loses all sense of time,” added a pal. “She was asking [Brad] what day it was.”

Four more kids

Friends say that despite their chaotic lives, Ange is desperate to take on more kids, and Brad has promised her they will adopt two more within the next year.

“She wants a tribe of 10, not including her and Brad, by 2010,” revealed a friend. “She and Brad have toasted to that and made that commitment.”
