No sooner have the celebs been categorized in order of their riches, than Ahlanlive hears evidence that there are bulging wallets abound right here in the UAE! And possibly, more than we imagined (well they're not exactly all hanging out at the Waxy's brunch on Fridays, that's for sure). Arabian Business has just announced the annual Rich List, 2007, and whilst your name might not have quite made it - maybe you know a local celeb who's living it large?

This year's list has 13 new entries, and they've got to be pretty loaded - they weren't even considered for the list unless they had US$700 million in the bank. (gulp)

Saudi Arabia's Prince Alwaleed takes the top spot, with an estimated fortune of US$29.5 billion. The highest riser, apparently, is Maan al-Sanea in fifth place - he's worth US$10 billion - a massive jump of US$8.6 billion and a rise of 33 places up the list from last year. The highest new entry is the former Deputy Prime Minister of Lebanon, with a US$2.4 billion fortune. Oh, but he's 70 years old. So don't worry if you haven't made your millions yet - there's obviously still time.
