Oscar-winner JENNIFER HUDSON will bury the bodies of her murdered mother, brother and nephew in a private memorial service in Chicago, Illinois on Monday (today).

The singer/actress' mum Darnell Donerson and her brother Jason Hudson were found shot to death at their home last Friday, while the body of seven-year-old Julian King was discovered three days later in an abandoned car in Chicago.

The Dreamgirls star and her family will remember their loved ones at a closed ceremony - and Hudson has requested that in lieu of flowers, fans make contributions to her newly-created domestic violence organisation, The Hudson-King Foundation for Families of Slain Victims.

A statement from Hudson family reads, "The specific purpose of the Foundation is to care for the needs of families who have lost relatives to a violent crime. This encompasses their basic needs of food, clothing and shelter as well as grief counseling."

The announcement of the new foundation came after a prayer vigil at the Hudson family's local church in Chicago, Illinois on Wednesday night

William Balfour, the estranged husband of Hudson's sister Julia, is being quizzed by police over the slayings, but authorities have yet to file any charges against him.
