BRITNEY SPEARS is reportedly set to follow in the footsteps of PRINCE and KYLIE MINOGUE by playing a two-week residency at London's O2 Arena next year.

The Toxic singer is preparing for a mammoth world tour in 2009 on the back of her forthcoming album, Circus, which is released in December.

And now, according to British reports Britney has negotiated a deal with the London venue which will see her show based there for 14 nights.

Artists including Prince, Kylie Minogue and the SPICE GIRLS have all completed a residency at the arena.

The live shows will be Brit's first gigs in the UK since 2004's Onyx Hotel Tour.
