Despite being one of Forbes 100 Most Powerful Celebrities, 22-year-old Keira admits she is "pretty extraordinarily unsociable". Staying with her group of childhood friends, she lives through her onscreen characters and admits "it's a very scary thing to have people actually looking at you as opposed to looking at your character."

Why's Keira so insecure?
Naturally a "grunge kid at heart" who has "never seen [herself] as particularly striking or sexy", and scrutinised about her weight - she calls herself a "tomboy beanpole" - Keira fears stepping out in public. "I've become phobic about the red carpet... I always think I'm going to make it into the top 10 of some worst dressed list. I really do try, but I'm just no good at that stuff."

Why's Keira so insecure?
Despite being the face of Chanel, Keira is extremely self-conscious about her spots (something make-up artists and airbrushes conceal), and finds the paps terrifying. "I get really scared when I'm followed by photographers. I have, on many occasions, broken down in tears." The actress also believes in the aboriginal superstition that a part of her dies every time a photo of her is taken, hence why she prefers to put her head down and hide.

Hilary Duff. She knows the paps are "avoidable if you want them to be", and while fellow stars are easy targets, Hilary knows how to smile and keep on walking.
