Dubai’s cosmopolitan playground offers an eclectic clubbing scene, where everyone can find something to their liking, whether it’s international DJs flying in regularly to whip the crowds up into a dancing frenzy or more sedate nights spent with friends.
  • <b>Best shisha</b><br><br> Whether you call it shisha, hookah, hubbly-bubbly or something else, one thing you have to try while in Dubai is the Arabian water-pipe. Shisha is basically flavoured tobacco (you’ll find all manner of flavours available, from apple to mint to rose), which is inhaled through water, and is a cultural staple in the Middle East, and is also a popular social pastime that many expatriates enjoy as an alternative to going to bars. From local delicacies like hammour to exotic Beluga caviar, from wallet-friendly to extortionate (but oh-so-worth it!)… you’ll find it all.
  • <b>Best romantic </b><br><br> Have you got someone special to impress? While sweeping your loved one off into the sunset atop a plunging steed may not be entirely practical in the desert, a super luxurious, über-romantic dinner in one of the world’s most luxurious hotels is totally feasible.
  • <b>Best steak</b><br><br> Does the thought of biting into a luscious, juicy steak make your inner carnivore salivate with anticipation? Whether your budget stretches to extravagant Kobe or not, visit one of these these restaurants and you’ll get prime beef every time.
  • <b>Best Indian</b><br><br> D ubai has one of the largest Indian communities outside the sub-contintent, which is great news for lovers of the spicey cuisine, because the sheer number of restaurants that serve up their delicacies is enormous. From the cheapest cafes to five star luxury, you can find mouth-watering Indian delights to suit any budget.
  • <b>Best European</b><br><br> It’s easy to overlook European cuisine when there are so many interesting and flamboyant cuisines on offer in the city, but the surprisingly sumptuous selection of restaurants serving European food will soon tempt your tastebuds.
  • <b>Best Arabic</b><br><br> When in Dubai, it is essential that you discover the incredible Arabic cuisine available in the acity. Just make sure you don’t just stick with the traditional hoummus and falafel… there are so many dishes to discover!
  • <b>Best for street food</b><br><br> The bustling streets of Bur Dubai, to the west of the Creek, will give you a feel of what eating in the real Dubai is like. And of course, no trip to the Middle East would be complete without sampling the local favourite – shwarmas. You’ll find plenty of stalls on the streets offering this fast food staple, which come incredibly cheap. Although what goes into them can vary, you’ll generally have a choice of spit-cooked chicken or meat (usually mutton or beef), which is freshly sliced and then mixed with various toppings, which are normally parsley, tomatoes, pickles, onions and tahina, but it changes from place to place. They’re not usually spicy, but if you want to add a bit of a kick, just say you want yours with a little filfil.
  • <b>Best out of town</b><br><br> When you need to escape the city for the evening, where do you go? To one of the surrounding luxury restaurants, of course! Enjoy a gourmet meal in relative seclusion before heading back to the big lights and busy streets of Dubai.
  • <b>Best on the water</b><br><br> Why not take advantage of the glittering, sun (or moon)-kissed waters of Dubai, and enjoy a romantic day (or night) on with water? Whether you’re just getting adventurous with your waterwings, fancy a full-on dinner cruise or want to feel that you’re sailing out to sea, we’ve got something to meet your watery requirements.
