There's no place like HollywoodTHE MUNCHKINS from classic movie THE WIZARD OF OZ have been awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame - 68 years after the film was released. Warms the heart, doesn't it!
Only nine of the 124 performers who appeared in the iconic 1939 picture are still alive, with seven actors attending the unveiling last Tuesday.
Star Judy Garland's son Joey Luft was also in attendance at the ceremony, saying, "I'm as proud today as my mother would have been."
Directors George Lucas and Steven Spielberg had backed the campaign to see the actors bestowed with the honour.
Lucas says, "With their joyous send-off for Dorothy, they secured their place in the hearts of movie fans."
