Jen's double a-list dating!

Finally rid of the rumoured freeloader and fame addict that her pals slammed her toyboy, JOHN MAYER as, JENNIFER ANISTON is embarking on a new phase in both her career and her love life.

Having gone for pretty boy-types in the past, like Brad, SATC star JASON LEWIS, ORLANDO BLOOM and model PAUL SCULFOR, Jen’s now returning to her old favourite, the manly man.

With exes including, TATE DONOVAN and VINCE VAUGHN as classic examples – Jen’s been on dates with 300 hunk Gerard Butler, and none other than her recent 30 Rock co-star, Alec Baldwin!

And now with these two A-list men vying for her attention, happy Jen has regained the confidence which took a knock, post-John. Ahlan! reveals all about the guys in her life, and which of the two she really prefers…

‘Chemistry’ with gerard

Known for his super-buff physique, Scottish actor GERARD BUTLER will soon be showing off his geezer credentials in GUY RITCHIE’s latest movie, RocknRolla. And it’s his manliness that really caught Jen’s attention recently when the pair met at the Toronto Film Festival.

Having spent her few days there trying not to bump into Brad, sources say Jen and Gerard made a beeline for one another at a swanky bash.

“They immediately made eye contact,” spilled a party-goer. “They had instant chemistry.” With another adding, “She was playing with her hair and acting coy. At one point, Gerard had his hand on her thigh and was whispering in her ear.”

Just her ‘bad boy’ type
A self-confessed rock chick when she was younger, Jen has long been drawn to bad boys, even dating Counting Crows frontman, Adam Duritz.

And 38-year-old Gerard Butler is a self-confessed bad boy, who has been linked to a string of famous women, including Rosario Dawson, Naomi Campbell and Cameron Diaz, and admits, “To be honest, I am very much a bad boy… but with a good heart.”

But the Scottish star is quick to point out that he is still a big softie at heart, revealing, “I appreciate and love women for many reasons, tall and small, plump and skinny, and crazy and demure. I see beauty in all of them.”

Onlookers at the Toronto party revealed, “It didn’t take Gerard and Jen long to gravitate to one another. When they came together, it was all hugs and smiles.”

And Jen, who sources say really is desperate to have children soon, will appreciate a fast-moving man in her life. It was noted that Gerard was quick to start wooing her, rubbing her shoulders and giving her a kiss on the head – “They looked so comfortable together.”

'Smitten' with Alec

With a solid career, forceful personality and hit TV show, Alec Baldwin is the shock new man in Jen’s life.

Having first met on the set of Friends in 2002 and again whilst filming Along Came Polly in 2004, Jen’s recent cameo on 30 Rock, saw the couple develop their friendship into something more.

“Jen is smitten with Alec,” spilled a source. “He’s the opposite of John. He’s older, more mature. More importantly, he doesn’t seek publicity.”

Now is the time
Pals of the actress are said to be in little doubt that the pair’s meeting will be third time lucky, as previously when they met, Jen was married to Brad and Alec was going through a messy divorce and custody battle, before hooking up with lawyer, Nicole Seidel.

“He begged her to read the 30 Rock script,” added an insider. “But he also wanted to take her for a romantic dinner.”

Planning more dates… and Courteney approves!
The 11-year age gap – he’s 50, to her 39 – isn’t an issue for the pair, and Jen is said to have already arranged more dates with the actor.

And what’s more, her bestie, Courteney Cox, has already given her blessing to the new relationship, amid claims she didn’t get on with John Mayer.

“They’re arranging future hook-ups and Alec’s invited her to visit him in The Hamptons,” said a friend. “Courteney was never a fan of John, but loves the idea of Jen and Alec as a couple.”

'Doesn’t need a man'

Although she’s enjoying being pursued by two A-list men, Jen’s finally come round to the classic idea that as soon as you stop looking for a man, plenty come along.

And she has revealed she’s “happy” with her current situation of no-strings dating. Now spending all her time and energy on herself, rather than trailing after John, Jen’s been spotted going for “speciality facials” at top Beverly Hills pampering spot, European Skin Care Spa, and vacationing in Mexico with pals.
