British rockers OASIS have cancelled a concert in Ontario, Canada on Tuesday, after guitarist NOEL GALLAGHER was attacked on stage at a previous gig.

Gallagher was admitted to the hospital for "bruising to his ribs and hip" after 47-year-old ‘fan' Daniel Sullivan ran onstage and attacked him during the band's performance in Toronto on Sunday night.

Unsuspecting Noel was shoved from the stage and fell on top of a speaker and in to the crowd, still wearing his guitar.

Noel's spokesman says the star has not recovered from his injuries in time to return to the stage for Tuesday's gig.

A statement reads, "Despite resting up yesterday, the extent of his injuries means he will not be able to perform tonight."

The cancelled gig will now take place on 15 December.

Sullivan was apprehended and has been charged by Toronto police.
