Diana Ross to play Dubai

What a week for the divas! Both Celine Dion and Diana Ross have realized their army of fans over here in the Middle East. We've just heard that on November 13th, legendary diva, singer and actress Diana Ross will make a star appearance at the 2007 Dubai Airshow. She'll be entertaining nearly 4,000 guests at the event's Gala Dinner, hosted by glam celebrity minglers Emirates Airline, Dubai Duty Free and the Department of Civil Aviation, Dubai.

The dazzling event will be staged outdoors at the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) and is expected to be the social highlight of the Dubai Airshow's 10th anniversary celebrations. Will you be there? Ms. Ross will perform exclusively for an elite audience that will include heads of state, government representatives, airshow exhibitors, business representatives and media.

H.H Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said: "Over the years, the Airshow Gala Dinner has attracted top international performers and has proven to be one of the most popular social events on the Airshow calendar. This year, which marks the 10th anniversary of the Dubai Airshow, we are delighted that Ms. Ross will be joining us for this special occasion."

Following Sheikh Ahmed's address and award presentations, guests will apparently be treated to an electrifying performance from Ms. Ross, who will sing some of the all-time classics, which have seen her shoot to stardom as one of the music industry's most renowned international icons, selling over 100 million albums and singles worldwide.
