New dad KEITH URBAN is wincing through the pain as he continues a huge North American tour - he has been diagnosed with a slipped disc.

The country star's publicist insists Urban is coping with the pain and is determined to make sure the show will go on - despite his back injury.

The 40-year-old's upcoming Country Rocks Festival appearance in Nova Scotia this weekend will go ahead as planned, as will a televised concert in New York on 5 September.

That show will launch the new American football season.
