Cast your mind back to 1995, when Alicia Silverstone, introduced a totally ‘rad' new word thanks to her starring role in high school flick Clueless - "Baldwin; noun: An attractive man with a well-developed physique." Yep, back then, the four sparkly-eyed New York brothers epitomised everything a girl could want: good stock, good looks, and cheeky charm. Totally lost it

Back in the day, the oldest Baldwin - now 50 - was named one of the ‘100 Sexiest stars in Film History', after movies like Beetle Juice, and had Hollywood's hottest leading ladies, including Michelle Pfeiffer, knocking at his door. Things started to go awry for Alec after his messy divorce from Kim Basinger in 2002, which he admits has "driven him to the edge". The eyes are still twinkling, but, now in a more sweaty maniac- type way.

Odd one out

Stephen, aka the blond one, may have been the runt of the litter, but we still fancied him in a if-we-go-for-the-fugly-one-we-may-stand-a chance type of way. And remember, we are talking about the Baldwins, so the ‘runt' was still sexy enough to model for Calvin Klein. Since his heyday in The Usual Suspects Stephen's been vanquished to the realms of reality TV and has become a bible bashing conservative Christian. Sexy.

Fire's gone

Who could forget that love scene on top of the fire truck in Backdraft? Playing a sexy fireman catapulted the youngest Baldy onto our number one crush spot and we called him ‘Billy' when gabbling about him to our girlfriends, cos we, like, totally felt we knew him. A 13-year marriage to Chynna Phillips, three kids and a relegation to TV stardom later, and his dashing dimples have disappeared into mounds of puffy flesh.

Losing face

The second oldest Baldy has had, undoubtedly, the most dramatic fall from grace following his hit 90s TV show Homicide: Life on the Streets. Cue running naked through New York plaza, an arrest for drug possession and rehab. But worse indignity was to come. Danny recently appeared in Celebrity Fit Club - for overweight D-listers - and Celebrity Rehab - for drug and alcohol-addicted D-listers.
