Get Crunk with Lil Jon
If you really want to go all-out this Thursday, look no further than The Act Dubai, which will be hosting none other than Grammy award-winning rapper, singer and record producer Lil Jon for a night of crazy beats and uptempo rhymes. With hits like Turn Down for What and Get Low, this is one act you don’t want to miss. STARTING FRI 29 APR
Brunch in the Clouds at St Regis Abu Dhabi
This is possibly the brunch of a lifetime. Exclusively for 50 diners on the last Friday of each month, The St Regis Abu Dhabi will open the doors to its Abu Dhabi Suite. The World’s Highest Suspended Suite, which spans the capital’s Nation Towers on the 48th and 49th floors, retails at Dhs150,000 per night and contains several rooms including a cinema, spa and a two-storey majlis. Journeying through the suite, guests will discover exquisite culinary delights in each room; from a cinema full of candy and a dedicated cheese and dessert room to a caviar ice-bar and an oyster room. For a break between tastings, guests can sojourn in the suite’s private spa for shoulder massages and, for the ladies, manicures. INFO: Reservations required, Dhs400 per person, Dhs650 with bubbly, St Regis Hotel, Nation Towers, Abu Dhabi, 02 694 4553, restaurants.abudhabi@stregis.com, stregisabudhabi.com

Try Dubai’s Hottest Night Brunch
Ahlan! loves Brasserie 2.0’s new Thursday night brunch, aptly named The Hottest Grill in Town, with a few Wild West-inspired twists – from a moonshine bar and meat grills to a dedicated mix-and-match loaded potato skins station. There’s even live music from the resident Texan band performing covers of contemporary rock tracks in that gorgeous Southern drawl. But this is Le Royal Meridien, one of Dubai’s best hotels, so don’t expect to be sat around a campfire cowboy-style; the elegant outdoor terrace is a deluxe spot to dine beneath the stars, with five-star table service on free-flowing drinks, and food from all over the world, from sushi and pasta to Thai curry and thali. The Yorkshire puddings served with the classic roast are must, and the cheese and charcuterie on offer complete the perfect meal. INFO: 7pm-11pm, Dhs290 including soft drinks, Dhs380 including house drinks and selected cocktails, Dhs415 including sparkling grape, Brasserie 2.0, Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa, Al Sufouh Road, Dubai, 04 316 5550, resbook.Leroyalmeridien@Lemeridien.com, brasserie2point0.com

Have a Nibble at JB’s New Cheese Night
JB’s is our fave JBR haunt right now, and it has launched new all-you-can-eat cheese night – with the added bonus of offering charcuterie platters, too. Genius! Boasting a menu of artisan cheeses made from sheep’s, goat’s and cow’s milk, such as Brie, truffle pecorino, aged Gouda and Roquefort presented on vintage barrels, the cheese display stars alongside a generous meat selection, including dried bresaola, peppered salami and mortadella with olives. INFO: 7pm-10pm, Dhs190 per person, Dhs260 per person with sparkling grape, every Tuesday, JB’s gastropub, Amwaj Rotana, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai, 04 428 3084
