ETHAN HAWKE and his new wife RYAN SHAWHUGHES are celebrating the birth of their first child together.

Ryan delivered baby daughter Clementine Jane Hawke in a New York hospital on Friday.

The birth has been confirmed by Ethan's representative Mara Buxbaum.

Ethan first met Ryan when he hired her as the nanny to his two children with ex-wife Uma Thurman - Maya Ray, 10, and Levon Roan, six.

Ethan and Uma divorceed in 2004 and married Ryan last month.
