Couple escape paparazzi with Vivienne and Knox

ANGELINA JOLIE has left hospital in France - fooling the paparazzi to bring her newborn twins home without interruption.

Angelina gave birth to son KNOX LEON and daughter VIVIENNE MARCHELINE by Caesarian section at the Fondation Lenval hospital in France last Saturday.

And after a brief stay, the Hollywood actress and her partner Brad Pitt left the medical centre early on Saturday morning - slipping out the back entrance to avoid the crowds of photographers awaiting the couple's departure.

A statement from hospital officials has thanked the pair for choosing to host the birth there.

It reads, "MrsAngelina Jolie left the clinic Santa Maria of Fondation Lenval early in the morning, on July 19. The mother and her babies are doing very well.

"The general management of Lenval and Santa Maria want to thank the team for the attention and care they pay to the family, and those of the journalists around the hospital who did their best to respect their privacy."

The twins are the fifth and sixth additions to Jolie and Pitt's family - the couple has three adopted children, Maddox, six, Pax, four, three year old Zahara, and biological daughter Shiloh, two.
