Angelina Jolie has given birth to twins - a girl and a boy.
The actress had the babies in a maternity clinic in France and, in typical Hollywood style, has given the tots bizarre monikers.
Ange and partner BRAD PITT have named their first biological son KNOX LEON and their daughter VIVIENNE MARCHELINE, in tribute to Angelina's mother Marcheline Jolie.
According to a Nice-Matin newspaper the 33-year-old actress gave birth during the early hours of this morning.
The paper said the twins were healthy, according to Ange's gynaecologist Michel Sussmann.
The first photograph of the babies was sold to a US paper for US$11 million but a spokesman for the hospital has stepped upsecurity around the family and insisted that an images which have appeared in the press so far are "posed fakes".
Dr Sussmann told reporters at the hospital that Ms Jolie and the babies were "doing marvellously well".
The French paper said Brad was at Angelina's side during the birth, a Ceasarian section.
The arrival of the twins brings the Brangelina brood to six - conveniently three boys and three girls.
The couple have three adopted children: Maddox, six; Pax, four; Zahara, three, and a biological child, Shiloh, born in May 2006.
