Actress' dad explains bizarre baby name
The whole world gave a collective "Say What???" after hearing NICOLE KIDMAN had named her baby daughter SUNDAY ROSE.
But the actress' father Antony Kidman has spoken out about his daughter's choice of name and explained her reasones for choosing the unusual moniker.
He says his actress daughter has always loved the name Sunday after studying up on early 20th-century artist's muse Sunday Reed, and the baby's middle name, Rose, is a tribute to hubby KEITH URBAN's late grandmother.
The proud grandfather says: "I have read a bit about Sunday Reed... She was a key mover and shaker in the arts around the beginning of the century.
"The name Sunday struck me as being a nice name for a woman, so my wife and I mentioned it."
Little Sunday was born in Nashville, Tennesseeon Monday.
In January this year, Nicole and Keith reportedly visited an exhibition by artist Sidney Nolan, who used Reed as his muse.
Antony Kidman claims the couple was inspired by a Nolan quote scrawled across a wall at the art show: "When you are young you are given a good view of life, because of your closeness to birth."
