If chic surroundings and people watching are what attract you to a restaurant, then Da Shi Dai is the place to head.

The Mirdiff-based noodle house has just opened its second restaurant at the opposite end of town, in Jumeirah Beach Residence.

We loved the prawn toast, spring rolls and steamed dim sum, but this restaurant's most outstanding feature is its uber-plush interiors which give it a Sex In The City feel - although you'll have to settle for a mocktail!
