Monday night at the races

It's every girl's dream - to be given that gorgeous hat in a box and then whisked off to the races, perhaps in a floaty, floral dress with some ridiculously expensive shoes to match (ah, dreams). Of course, not every race is quite so glamorous. And sometimes (only sometimes girls) you just have to go to these things for the fun-factor, rather than to count "how many people are looking at ME ME ME".

TONIGHT (Monday (22^nd October) the celebs will be out in full force (minus the hats, unless they're actual helmets) to fulfill their need for speed in the Dubai Autodrome. Hosted by adventure and experiences company bluebanana.ae, ten Dubai 92 DJs, including Catboy, Geordiebird, Wes and Dan Marsh, and a hundred listeners will take part in six races and a one hour endurance race. The top eight drivers will then join Blue Banana's Simon Ford ("Superstar Karter" - in his own modest words) to form Team Blue Banana, which will then compete in a 24 hour endurance race on the 26^th-27^th of October. Oooh, we can feel the adrenaline rush just thinking about it.

There's a rumour that Ben Whyte will DJ, organic food will be provided by Dante, RAW Coffee will supply the caffeine and you'll even get the chance to find out about other exciting stuff you won't be wearing a posh frock for - quad biking, hot air ballooning, helicopter trips, etc.

Make sure you're there TONIGHT at the Autodrome - 5pm - 10pm.

Even if you don't need a hat, ladies, you might well meet a nice man to buy you one!
