ROBBIE WILLIAMS is "addicted" to counting calories and obsesses about his weight - after a tongue-in-cheek jibe left him mentally scarred.

The 33-year-old, who has battled to stay in shape ever since he left Take That in 1995, was labelled 'Blobby Williams' by the British press when he was at his heaviest. Sticks and stones Robbie, sticks and stones!

Now the British singer gorges himself on sugar-free ice lollies in a bid to control his weight, according to ex-lover U.S. actress Suzanne Coppin.
Coppin, who spent the night with Williams in August (07), tells British magazine Closer, "His freezer was huge but all that seemed to be in it were these ice lollies. He said he ate them all the time as they didn't make him fat.

"He knows the calorie content off by heart of every single thing he puts in his mouth and is addicted to eating these lollies. He must eat 20 of them a day."

Perhaps that's why his career is currently frozen? (sigh)
