JAILED!

24 star Kiefer Sutherland couldn't save himself like he does America - not from the court system anyway. The naughty boy has just been sentenced to serve 48 days in jail for drink driving.

The hellraising hound was charged after police witnessed him making an illegal U-turn in Los Angeles last month, and breath test allegedly found him to have twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

Sutherland pleaded no contest to the charges yesterday and will be jailed for 48 days during breaks in filming for the hit TV show.

Court records state he will spend 30 days in jail for driving with a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit, and 18 days for violating his probation - relating to a previous DUI conviction in December 2004.

He also received a six month driving ban and must attend alcohol education classes for 18 months, plus weekly alcohol therapy sessions for six months.
