Teenager gets eight months for crash which left pal brain damaged
HULK HOGAN's son NICK BOLLEA has been jailed for eight months for reckless driving, after the car crash last August which left his friend critically injured.
Bollea, 17, (who is also known as Nick Hogan after adopting his dad's stage name) was at the wheel of his Toyota Supra when he smashed it in to a palm tree in Clearwater, Florida last year.
His passenger and friend, John Graziano suffered brain injuries, and is still receiving medical treatment. It is thought he will have to spend the rest of his life in a nursing home.
Bollea, pleaded no contest to the charge, as part of a plea deal that meant he couldn't serve more than one year in Pinellas County Jail.
As well as the jail time, Bollea was also handed five years probation; his driver's license has been suspended for three years; and he has been banned from drinking alcohol for five years.
The sentence was handed out in court in Pinellas, Florida on Friday.
