Fashion designer STELLA MCCARTNEY is desperate to create a wedding dress for bride-to-be SCARLETT JOHANSSON.

The actress announced her engagement to actor boyfriend RYAN REYNOLDS at Monday night's Costume Institute Gala in New York.

Stella, who is the daughter of ex-BEATLE SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY is hoping she will be asked to design the gown.

She said "I'm definitely doing her wedding dress.

"She just doesn't know it yet."

And McCartney jokingly suggested she already has a design in mind: "You know, some kind of dodgy, black thing. Latex! Latex for Scarlett!"

And it wouldn't be the first wedding dress Stella has designed for a high-profile star.

She designed best pal Madonna's wedding dress for her 2000 wedding to Guy Ritchie.
