Posh's ageing (and ego!) crisis

It was her idea to ditch Europe in favour of life in LA, but sources close to Victoria Beckham have revealed how the Spice Girl has succumbed to feeling insecure and paranoid about her age and looks as she resides in the land of size zeroes.

Famously pin-thin in the UK, Posh has been shocked to discover that skinny figures like hers are two-a-dime stateside - and, what's more, the women are even more obsessed than her with staying young-looking.

Her ageing terror
With her constant travelling over the past six months, 34-year-old Posh, who famously suffers from spotty breakouts, has had to contend with a serious side effect of all her jetsetting - puffy eyes and face, and has been quizzing make-up artists about how she can hide the under-eye bags.

"Victoria uses every expensive cream under the sun," reports Closer. "But her mum also suffers from puffy under-eye skin, so it could be hereditary." Adding that Posh is also failing to guzzle down water to aid her skin, but is instead seeking a "miracle solution".

Victoria has been left fuming over the types of work offers she is being given in America. Whilst she hoped to one day emulate the success of her Brit NBF Kate Beckinsale, despite not being an actress, Posh is said to be livid that she's instead getting the same work offers as Paris Hilton.

"In LA, she's still mainly known as being David's wife," revealed an insider. "And that drives her mad!"

She's a "nightmare"
Adding to Vic's current misery, are the revelations from fellow WAG Fiona Barratt - girlfriend of David's England teamate Sol Campbell - that she's a "nightmare" and a "prima donna", judging by her actions at 2007's World Cup.

"The WAGs had to [leave the hotel] first," divulged Fiona to The Sun. "Queen Bee Victoria came out last... and her hair and make-up team were all in the lobby. What a nightmare. She's such a prima donna."

"Old and unsuccessful"
With her hubby more lusted after than ever in the States, and his footballing talent still earning him plenty of adoring - and celebrity - fans, Victoria's been left feeling unsatisfied at the role she's been reduced to - David's wife.

"[She says she feels] old and unsuccessful," said a source. "She'll say she isn't quite where she wanted to be with her career, and doesn't see why she should celebrate the fact that ‘Every year it takes more effort to look this good.'"

Heidi Klum taunts Posh!
They're supposed to be friends, but Heidi Klum's birthday present to Posh has left insiders whispering that the supermodel has grown tired of Vic's posturing and that her gift was meant as a taunt.

The Project Runway host sent Vic a dozen cupcakes from top LA bakery, Sprinkles, with a note which read, "Happy Birthday - expect a dozen every Friday! Love, Heidi."

And the year-long gift, which cost the super Dhs7,200, comes to a massive 170,000 calories - despite the fact that Heidi knows Posh would never touch a cupcake.

In fact, so controlled is Posh that, when asked during a US TV interview if she'd ever eat a cookie, she replied a resounding and final, "No!"
