How the new mum dropped a whopping 23 kilos in eight weeks

Baby bump be gone!
It's hard to believe that Jennifer Lopez gave birth to twins just over eight weeks ago. Despite piling on a huge 23 kilos during her pregnancy with Emme and Max, when she hit the red carpet for the premiere of Shine A Light, just days ago, there was not even the slightest hint of post-baby wobble. But how did she do it?
Not wasting a moment, J-Lo practically sprinted from the delivery room to the gym, starting a military-style exercise regime less than a month after giving birth. Shocked by the changes pregnancy made to her body, the new mum vowed not to be seen in public until she'd shrunk back to her pre-pregnancy weight of 56 kilos.
Fitness fanatic
She's famous for her workaholic attitude, giving 100 per cent to whatever she sets her sights on, and sources close to the diva claim that she's been working day and night to get that pre-pregnancy bod back.
To kickstart her weight loss, Jen had personal trainer Gunnar Peterson (who also trained her throughout her pregnancy) motivate her even further, splashing out Dhs187,000 on a home gym for her New York mansion so she had no excuse to miss any exercise sessions.
So dedicated is she to her new regime, Jen's been waking at 4am every day to start her workouts, which include three hours of intense exercise - one hour of pilates, one hour of cardio followed by an hour of weight training, with the aim of steadily losing 4.5 kilos a week. Add that to her long-term goal of taking part in a triathlon this autumn, so she can "make my babies proud", and Jen's amazingly buff bod is sure to be back in a matter of weeks.
Meals on wheels
In a bid to banish her baby belly, Jennifer has banned all carbs from her diet, trading in her old eating habits for calorie-controlled meals - which limits her food intake to 1,400 calories per day.
Insiders close to the star claim she's consulted trainers, nutritionists and doctors to find the safest way to drop the weight in record time, and has even signed up with Fresh Mommy, a home delivery service that delivers three portion-controlled meals every day so she can't fall off the dieting wagon.
The diva's diet
Jen tucks into one of each of the following meals - and the weight is dropping off...
Breakfast
Scrambled egg with sliced cucumbers and tomatoes, or cheese with fresh apple and kiwi, or apple oat pancakes with vanilla ricotta and fresh fruit.
Lunch
Hawaiian-style chicken with mixed green salad, macadamia nuts and mangos, or marinated tofu and veggie pizza with a Caesar salad on the side, or freshly prepared spinach salad with grilled duck, various olives and tomatoes.
Dinner
Sweet and sour pork chops with grilled vegetables, or steak, grilled veggies and rice pilaf, or chicken paella.
Snacks
Edamame with toasted garlic, or eggplant caviar on cucumber slices, or grilled chicken & apple sausage with pomegranate bbq sauce.
