Rare and sought after works by leading Western, Arab and Iranian artists will go under the hammer at Christie's fourth International Modern and Contemporary Art auction to be held at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers on April 29 at 6.30pm. Also on sale will be a selection of artists books that has never before been offered at auction. The artworks will be on public display in the Godolphin Ballroom of the Jumeirah Emirates Towers from 2pm on April 27 till 4.30pm on April 29.

Among the western art pieces on offer is a sculpture from Robert Indiana's iconic Love series and several artworks by Andy Warhol including a unique Dollar Sign and Shoes, a classic Warhol screen print covered with diamond dust. Collectors can also buy works by Shirin Neshat and Anish Kapoor.

The outstanding pieces of Iranian art include a pre-revolution bronze sculpture from Parviz Tanavoli's ‘Walls of Iran' series and artworks by Charles Hossein Zenderoudi and Farhad Moshiri. The Arab art set to go under the hammer includes important works by Egyptian artists Mahmoud Said and the Wanly brothers, Seif and Adham, as well as an early work by Libya's leading artist Dia Azzawi.

Syrian Fateh Moudarres, Libyan Ali Omar Ermes and Lebanese artist Paul Guiragossian are also represented through exceptional pieces. A monumental tryptic by Ahmed Moustafa, whose Quranic Polyptych fetched the highest recorded price for an Arab artist at Christie's last auction, is another highlight of this sale.
