Pop diva Macy Gray and an Ahlanlive reporter were forced to WALK AWAY after being sensationally ejected from the VIP lounge of the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The raspy-voced singer was left red-faced when uniformed security guards refused her entry to the exclusive Paddock Club lounge.

Not even the red-carpet intervention of a quick-thinking Ahlanlive reporter could help.

Just minutes before, the singer had been given an exclusive tour of the pit lanes and even stepped into the garages to see Jenson Buton's Honda.

But once the race started the tight security operation meant Macy was stranded outside the VIP area.

A furious entourage were unable to gain entry and bystanders looked on in disbelief and shock as the star shouted - or at least croaked- at the security officials.

But to no avail.

As other celebrities and VIP guest coiffed Champagne in the air-conditioned luxury suite Macy Gray was left fuming outside in the 35degree heat.

"They just won't let me in man," Macy told the Ahlanlive reporter on the scene to cover the red carpet event.

Ahlan has always had a soft spot for Macy so our intrepid reporter stepped in and gave Ms Gray his own entrance ticket.

The delighted singer was able to take the much-desired pass and join the elite on the other side of the barrier.

But moments later stubborn security guards spotted the deception and Macy was forcibly taken out to join the public once again.

The Grammy-winner was forced to join members of the public and watch from a balcony aside a public staircase.

The embarrasment was complete when one smoothtalking member of the entourage grabbed extra passes - only for Macy to discover they were only grandstand tickets.

One last try of the "do you know who I am trick" didn't work and stubborn security guards sent the singer away to the public stands.

Sorry Macy - we tried to help!
