We know, we know, it's everyone's dream gift isn't it - a painting of U2 rocker Bono draped above your mantelpiece, in oil. But there's only one copy of the crooner receiving his knighthood in a multitude of painted glory, people, and we're afraid to say that if you want it, you're going to have to book that ticket to Ireland.

The oil canvas, by artist David Nolan, is based on a press image by photographer Julien Behal, and depicts the 47-year-old singer holding the honour up to his aged face. We're not sure if it features his legendary sunglasses or not, but as eyeballs are generally pretty hard to paint, we wouldn't really be surprised.

Bono, aka the rather boringly entitled Paul Hewson, was presented with the knighthood back in March (07) in recognition of his contributions to music and his global charity work. The painting will go under the auctioneer's hammer next month and you'd better count your fils, folks - it's expected to sell for more than $4,000 euros. Which is a lot.

Hands up who's sticking to the Dali poster fastened on with blue-tac?
