The baby boom is, well, booming in Hollywood. There's barely a female star out there who isn't pregnant, newly blessed or just about to pop. And it seems that the baby bug is biting every A-lister in town. According to reports, Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham are both so desperate to have more children that each of the broody stars has embarked on a major health kick to help them conceive. But what are they eating to beat their biological clocks? Star Style reveals all...

Kate's kiddie cravings:
The 34-year-old super is known for her party lifestye and decidely unhealthy vices. But Kate's friends say she is determined to abandon her bad habits for good,so nothing can hamper her chances of getting pregnant again.

"Kate's desperate to have another child, and taking her diet and health seriously," said a source close to the model. And she's hoping pal Gwyneth Paltrow's diet guru will be able to help get her body ready for another baby.

"Kate's been loosley following Dr Nish Joshi's cleansing diet, which is the same diet Gwyneth follows, but has tailored it around trying to get pregnant" revealed the source. "She's been taking extra iron supplements and stocking up on spinach and green vegetables to help prepare her body as much as she can."

What's on kate's plate?
Dr Joshi‘s strict cleansing plan insists that Kate avoids red meat, dairy, wheat, yeast, sugar, alcohol, nuts, coffee, fizzy drinks or deep fried anything. Instead, she's tucking into all kinds of soy products, grilled chicken and turkey, brown rice, steamed vegetables, green tea, lentils, beans, olive oil and plenty of fish - except swordfish, tuna and shellfish, which can be heavy in dangerous metal deposits like mercury. The premise being that, alongside balancing the body's nutritional needs, the diet will help to eliminate cravings for bad foods and other vices that are hampering Kate's potential to be in the best possible shape for carrying a baby.

Posh - she really is eating for two
She's already got three gorgeous boys - but it's no secret that Victoria desperately wants a baby girl to add to the Beckham brood. And despite being devastated about having to put on weight to help her get pregnant in the first place, Posh concedes that if she wants a daughter, she has no choice but to start eating properly. "At just under 45 kilos, Victoria's chances of conception are extremely slim," said a source. "So she's doing everything she can to put on weight in a healthy way - with the hope of having a little girl."

The super-slender Spice has already cut out caffeine, alcohol and dairy products, grazing instead on steamed veg, salad, asparagus a little white meat or fish, and lots of citrus fruits. "She's been told that a highly acidic diet will help her chances of conceiving a girl," said our mole. "As a consequence, she's eating loads of lemons and oranges."

David's daughter diet
Victoria is taking no chances when it comes to determining the sex of Beckham bambino number four. After seeking specialist advice, David has been put on a special daughter diet to increase the chances of the couple producing a little girl.

"Victoria is fascinated by the idea that David can take positive action to increase their chances of having a daughter," said a source. The diet, which is alkaline-rich, contains lots of salad and limited red meat, and is aimed at strengthening sperm. And, along with avoiding alcohol, which damages the way sperm is formed, David may also have to change his underwear - literally - as tight-fitting briefs, like the Armani ones he favours, keep his vital areas warm, which can inhibit sperm production. Baggy boxer shorts it is then!
