Before you get your hankies out (or your whistles, team Jen) you may want to wait for confirmation on the Brangelina split.

What seemed like fairly certain reports yesterday about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie calling it quits are now being rejected by sources as complete “b.s.”

Rumours began swirling yesterday (Jan 24) that the couple had visited a divorce lawyer (they’re not actually married) to discuss terms of the separation which included a custody settlement for their six children and separation of combined wealth (Dhs1.2 billion).

Denying the claims first made by London’s News of the World, sources are urging the public and media not to believe the false reports calling them “totally false.”

Gossip blogger Perez Hilton has also chosen not to believe the rumours posting on his site, “We didn't believe it. And, now, those silly stories have officially been squashed by their rep.”

But Ian Halperin, author of Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has revealed that a close friend to Brad said the actor has been planning to leave Ange for months now. He quotes the friend on his site, www.ianundercover.com, “I love Brad and am in his corner all the way. I feel so bad for him because Angie put him through the ringer. I can confirm that his relationship with Angie is over.”

On Saturday night, Brad and exwife Jennifer Aniston attended the Hope for Haiti Now telethon making it only the second time since their split that they have attended the same event (the first was the awkward 2009 Oscars when Jen had to present, with Brad and Ange watching her in the audience). Though not spotted together Saturday night, the sighting has already sparked rumours of a rekindled romance, with many suggesting he's leaving Ange to get back with the Friends actress.

But Jen seemed occupied at the fundraiser, gazing lovingly at her Bounty Hunter co-star Gerard Butler, whom she was also photographed with at the Golden Globes last week. But with Gerard rumoured to be flirting with newly single Kate Hudson, perhaps there's a chance for Brad to win Jen back after all.

Brangelina’s reps have yet to confirm or deny the separation rumours.
